Find out if the charge was for a recent purchase or group of purchases
Click here to see a list of all your purchases. You might be asked to sign in. If you don't see a list of purchases after you sign in, follow these steps to see all your purchases.
Find an Apple Store and shop for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and more. Sign up for Today at Apple programs. Or get support at the Genius Bar. Since Apple does not send this in PDF format we have to manually print PDF and then send it in to our accounting system. And if the email is trapped in our spam filter, we need to log on to iTunes store, find the actual purchase there, take a screen shot (because printing from iTunes stor account is not possible), convert the screen shot to pdf. Using a standard un-jailbroken iPhone, TechCrunch was able to download and verify 12 pornography and 12 real-money gambling apps over the past week that were abusing Apple’s Enterprise.
Don’t recognize the amount? Sometimes multiple items, including subscriptions, in-app purchases, or items that you pre-ordered, are grouped together on one bill. Learn how purchases are grouped.
Find out if the charge was for a subscription that renewed
When you look at the list of all your purchases, look for subscriptions that automatically renewed.
If you no longer want the subscription, you can cancel it.
Check if a family member made a purchase
If you use Family Sharing and you're the family organizer, search your email for a receipt. Apple emails a receipt to you when your family members buy items and when their subscriptions renew. The family organizer pays for most purchases that family members make.
If young children have access to your device, you might want to set up your password preferences so that a password is required for every purchase. You can also use Screen Time to prevent purchases. Or to manage what kids buy on their own devices, set up Family Sharing.
Anyone who has your Apple ID password can make charges to your account. If you have unauthorized charges, change your Apple ID password.
Check if you bought something using another Apple ID
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your other Apple ID. You'll see a list of recent purchases that you made with that Apple ID.
Or if you use another Apple ID on a different device, use that device to see a list of purchases that you made with that Apple ID.

If you followed the steps above and you didn't find out why you were charged, contact Apple Support.
Scammers often try to trick you into sharing personal or financial information by sending you messages or links to websites that might look like they’re from Apple, but their actual purpose is to steal your account information. Some phishing emails will ask you to click on a link to update your account information. Others might look like a receipt for a purchase in the App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store or for Apple Music, that you’re certain you didn’t make.
Never enter your account information on websites linked from these messages, and never download or open attachments included within them.
Is this email legitimate?
If you receive an email about an App Store or iTunes Store purchase, and you’re not sure whether it is real, you can look for a couple of things that can help confirm that the message is from Apple.
Genuine purchase receipts—from purchases in the App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or Apple Music—include your current billing address, which scammers are unlikely to have. You can also review your App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or Apple Music purchase history.
Emails about your App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or Apple Music purchases will never ask you to provide this information over email:
- Social Security Number
- Mother's maiden name
- Full credit card number
- Credit card CCV code

Update your account info safely

If you receive an email asking you to update your account or payment information, only do so in Settings directly on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch; in iTunes or the App Store on your Mac; or in iTunes on a PC.

To update your password for the Apple ID that you use for purchases, do so only in Settings on your device or at appleid.apple.com.
