Poker Fundraising Event

This is a VIRTUAL tournament being played on PokerStars.Com (desktop or laptop platforms only) in the Poker4Life.org club. Players must have a PokerStars ID and must join the Poker4Life club to participate in this virtual tournament. Instructions listed below. Tournament grand prize: Win a seat in the next WSOP Main Event. Note: This is a freeze out tournament, no rebuys or addons at this event.

Online event saw 65 participants. An online poker tournament hosted by Ben Affleck raised $2m for charity this past weekend. The event, titled All In For Feeding America, saw 65 celebrities from the entertainment and sports worlds come together on Easter Saturday to participate and donate funds. The restrictions on poker-type events are less onerous than for bingo or raffles, but they are there, and must be observed. Eligible Organizations The rules about “ charity poker nights apply to a broader swath of nonprofits than those ordinarily considered charities; that is, 501(c)(3) organizations and the California Revenue & Taxation Code. Poker is an effective means of fundraising for numerous reasons. First, it’s highly social in nature. For many, getting to know your opponents is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game. Providing you don’t end up taking yourself or the game too seriously, you’re almost guaranteed to have fun. The 4 Fundraiser Types Vegas Nights Event donors participate in the event and receive gaming chips (with no cash value) for play at an assortment of casino games. Winners are typically awarded prizes at the conclusion of the event, and proceeds from ticket sales go to your organization. Poker Tournaments.

1. Download the free software from pokerstars.com to your desktop or laptop only. (Does NOT work on mobile devices.)
2. Create your User ID and password. (Write down your password because you can’t easily get a new profile.)

HOW TO JOIN THE POKER4LIFE CLUB

1. On the bottom right of the main lobby click on “Home Games”
2. Click the green button for “Join a Poker Club” on the left.
3. Enter info to Join Club “Poker4Life.org”:

   Invitation Code: P4L_Invite
   Your Name: Your email address
4. Email info@poker4life.org with your name, screen name, and cell (optional.)
